A beautiful side dish with any pork dish. Red cabbage, onions and apples. Delicious and very easy to make!
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Medium onion, thinly sliced
1 Large Granny Smith or other tart apple, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 of a Red Cabbage, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
3 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar
4 Teaspoons of sugar
1/2 Cup water
Method:
In a Dutch oven, cook onion and apple in the butter for about 5 minutes or until tender
Add the other ingredients, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 25 minutes
